Create your own ceramic pieces and experience the unique raku firing process in a small-group workshop. Suitable for beginners and those with some experience, the workshops cover hand-building techniques, surface decoration, and the full outdoor raku firing process.

Raku is a fast-firing technique known for its dramatic flames, smoke, crackle glazes, and beautifully unpredictable results. Participants typically create 3–4 unique decorative pieces to take home.

All materials and firing costs are included, £130 for a two day session.

Bring your ceramic work to be fired in our studio’s raku kiln. Firing is charged at a £38 per hour technician fee. Transparent raku glaze is available for an additional £10 per firing.

You are welcome to attend the firing, or leave your work to be fired on your behalf — this is entirely your choice.

While every care is taken, raku is an unpredictable process and pieces may crack or break during the process. All work is accepted and fired at the owner’s risk, and no responsibility can be taken for damage or breakages.
